Mark Hermann Chocolate manufactures handmade ecologic chocolate confectionery, cakes and desserts with great passion. Our vision is to be a joy to your senses both regarding taste and visual impression.

We want our customers to taste the difference in chocolate made with good ingredients. We only use chocolate without lectin and vanilla. All the products that we manufacture has its own story which makes it unique.

​

Besides from our own manufactured products we also import chocolate from the Dutch producer Original Beans. The ground principles at Original Beans are sustainability, ecology and preservation of endangered cacao varieties.

The passion started many years ago, when Mark started as a Pastry Chef apprentice and he very soon developed an interest in chocolate.

 

It did not take long before he was admitted to the National Team of Pastry Chefs of which he was a part for 5 years. Together with the National Team of Pastry Chefs Mark participated in The Danish National Championship, The European Championship and even the World Championship. 

 

Marks has worked at several Michelin restaurants such as Geranium, Nimb Louise and Søllerød Kro. This has given him a great experience with chocolate confectionery on a very high level – and exactly this high level is what characterizes Mark Hermann Chocolate.

 

I would like to show how chocolate confectionery can taste – and have a different expression than people are used to.
 

KATHRINE THRANE

Conditor & chocolatier

Kathrine is a trained pastry chef who has worked both in large productions and in finer restaurants. Kathrine is very much into high quality and details so she found that the right place for her was where there was time and possibilities to go for the perfect.

 

She therefor applied for employment at restaurants and ended up working for both Le Sommelier in Copenhagen and Store Kro in Fredensborg. At the restaurants, she created cakes, chocolate confectionery and beautiful desserts.

 

She met Mark Hermann at Fredensborg Store Kro where he was the Head Pastry Chef. She found great inspiration in Mark’s passion for chocolate, so when he started his entrepreneur business it did not take long before Kathrine became a part of that. Today they are a couple and together they are committed to spreading the joy of chocolate.
